Dunkin Donuts is best known for their baked goods, specifically their large variety of donuts and coffee choices. The first shop opened in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1950. Within years the company started growing rapidly, franchising as early as 1955. In the future, the shop may no longer be viewed purely in the terms of breakfast and afternoon snacks, but also a viable option for a quick lunch or dinner.

How Do You Define A Successful Coffee Shop?
Based on customer surveys, you should be confident no matter how large or small your coffee shop is. This isn’t really a factor for customers even though many have the impression that large coffee shops have more to offer. A customer may try a new large coffee shop but then go back to the smaller one they have gone to for a very long time.
Large coffee shops don’t necessarily make more money than smaller ones. They have to pay more for supplies, electricity, the building, employees, and other overhead expenses. They also have to spend a great deal of money to advertise. After all they can’t have that large facility being empty - it has to be full of customers.
Customers have other criteria that they are concerned with than the size of the location. People even go to drive up ones if they offer the right elements.

How the Coffee Cart Business Works
The coffee cart business is emerging as a good alternative to your traditional Starbucks style coffee shop. If you are thinking about getting into the business yourself, there are a few things you should be aware first. In this article, we will discuss some of the different factors to consider that are conducive to success in the coffee/expresso cart business.
There are many things that make up a successful business, when it comes to operating a coffee cart. Having the right equipment is needed, as well as high quality coffee and the ability to serve your customers with convenience. However, all of those things combined are not as important as one single factor, that will determine your success or failure.
That factor is location. The best cup of coffee in the world at the cheapest price is no advantage if nobody is aware you offer it. This means if you’re going to investigate into any coffee cart franchise business, or start your own business, you should first secure your location before spending any other money.
While this seems to make sense, most people do it the other way.

About 15% reported being unable to find investors, and a similar amount claimed a lack of collateral.
The prospective new business owner approaching a lending institution should keep in mind the “five c’s of credit:” character, cash flow, capital, collateral, and (economic) conditions. Character consists of the borrower’s integrity, experience, and ability; particularly close attention is paid to a borrower’s credit history, which is a matter of record.
