Rapper YGD Top Dogg releases debut album “The Renegade”

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – YGD Top Dogg, a former Death Row Records rapper who appeared on 2Pac’s greatest hits album, released his debut album “The Renegade” independently on his website DarkSideMusic.net.

Derek Wade, better known as YGD Top Dogg, amicably parted ways with Death Row Records in order to pursue producing his own music and art.

Growing up in Compton, California YGD credits his experiences in his youth and his time at Death Row Records for shaping the artist he is today.

“I’m gratefull and fortunate that he [Suge Knight] even gave me the opportunity to shine, and work which such heavy hitters at The Row like 2pac, Dj.Quik and more,” said YGD of Death Row Records CEO.

After a successful career at Death Row Records, with such hits such as “Cinderfella”, YGD left the label to pursue a solo career and to release his own label. Now with a dozen new artists and producers, YGD is focusing on making Dark Side Music a household name.
